Connect Claude to ProposalApp: Run Your GovCon Pipeline from Chat

ProposalApp is now available as a connector inside Claude. You can ask, in plain language, to find matching opportunities, check which contracts are coming up for recompete, kick off a proposal draft, score proposal, run risk analysis, generate questions for contracting officer, and request market intelligence report all without opening the dashboard. Here is what it does and how to turn it on.

ProposalApp is now available as a connector inside Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop). Once connected, you can work your GovCon pipeline in a normal conversation instead of clicking through the dashboard: ask a question, get an answer sourced from your actual workspace data, and take the next step right there in chat.

What it's for

The connector gives Claude read access to the same information you'd see in ProposalApp, and the ability to take the same actions you'd take on the site, scoped to your own workspace and gated behind your own login. Broadly, it covers the same three things ProposalApp does on the web:

Find It: ask Claude to search current SAM.gov opportunities against your capability statement, check Recompete Radar for contracts coming up for re-solicitation, or pull Contract Intel on who's winning in a given NAICS code.

Win It: once an opportunity is worth pursuing, ask Claude to start a proposal, run a bid/no-bid check, and kick off a first draft from your uploaded company documents and the solicitation itself.

Scale It: ask for a Market Intelligence read on a target NAICS space, or find contracting officers and agency contacts relevant to your capabilities.

Claude doesn't do any of this by guessing. Every answer is pulled live from your ProposalApp GovCon platform and tools.

How to connect it

1. In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors (in Claude Desktop, this is under the connector/MCP settings; on claude.ai it's under Settings → Connectors).
2. Add a custom connector and point it at ProposalApp, search for "ProposalApp" if it's listed in Claude's directory, or add it directly if you have the connector URL from your ProposalApp account settings.
3. You'll be sent through a normal login screen, the same sign-in you already use for proposalapp.net. Approve the connection.
4. That's it. Claude will now ask before doing anything that changes data in your account (creating a proposal, generating a draft, etc.), read-only questions like searches and lookups don't require a confirmation each time.

You only need to do this once. The connection stays live until you disconnect it from either side, and it always acts as you, inside your own workspace, it can't see or touch any other ProposalApp account.

Things you can ask

A few examples to get a feel for it:

- "Find opportunities in NAICS 541512 that match our capabilities."
- "What's coming up on Recompete Radar for us in the next 6 months?"
- "Save that last opportunity to our pipeline and start a proposal for it."
- "Run a bid/no-bid check on this proposal before we commit more time to it."
- "Who are the contracting officers at DHS who've worked on this expiring contract?"
- "Generate market intelligence report"
- "Create a proposal for HVAC preventative maintenance service for state house"

You can also chain these together in one conversation. Claude will fetch what it needs, tell you what it found, and ask before taking any action that writes to your account.

Your data, your control

The connector only ever acts within your own ProposalApp workspace, using your own login. It doesn't get broader access than you already have on the site, and Anthropic's connector policy requires every data-changing action to be confirmed before it runs. If you'd rather not have it connected, disconnecting it in Claude's settings takes effect immediately.
